For the second time in a consecutive year, Gerald Jacobs, a Central High School student of this city, won from 400 selected experts from every part of the country who had participated in Los Angeles tests, the national first aid championship. Last year he won the title in Washington.
After having emerged victorious in a series of elimination tests held in the regional and state contests, he went to the coast two weeks ago to compete in the final tryouts. And as a national winner this year, he is spending the month in Los Angeles as a guest of the Red Cross to witness the Olympic games.
