Jewish youths affiliated with the Hechalutz movement have contributed 3,500 work days in recent weeks to step up the mining of coal and to increase agricultural production, it was announced today.
The oxtra work has been performed by 100 Chalutzim who have organized themselves into Sunday Labor Brigades. Their efforts are reported to have favorably impressed villagers who had been assured by the Nazis that the Jews were not capable of agricultural labor.
