At least six Jews, five of them on their way to Israel, were among the 122 persons killed when a Varig airliner crashed and burned in Paris last week.
It was reported here today that the victims included Elizeth Knizhnik, a student from Porto Alegre who was going to the Hebrew University in Jerusalem on a two-year scholarship; Shmuel and Marion Honigsman, of Sao Paulo, and their daughters. Marly and Suely, who were on their way to attend the wedding of a relative in Haifa; and Flora Sasson. of Paris.
Other victims were Khamis Ismail Arman, an Egyptian from Sao Paulo, his Japanese wife, and their four children who were on a visit to Egypt. Israel and the United States.
