Radio Free Europe announced today that Czechoslovakian Communist police arrested 23 Jews in Pilsen, causing the Czech Jewish community to fear a new anti-Semitic drive.

The 23 were seized in February for “forbidden contact” with Jewish organizations in the West. It was noted that most Czech Jews have relatives in Western countries from whom they receive letters and parcels.
