Fearing trouble during the forthcoming trial of 85 anti-Semitic agitators charged with participating in the disturbances at Borscha and Marmoresh, the Jews of these and neighboring towns are demanding that the government take strenuous measures to protect the Jewish population on the day of the trial which is still undecided.
Among the 85 under arrest are the anti-Semitic priests, Fathers Dumirescu and Berindei and Mrs. Berendei. Seventeen Jews will also face charges. The anti-Semites have demanded that 300 witnesses be called on their behalf.
