According to final statistics for the last six months, the Jews have the lowest birth record in Poland. The number of Jewish births were 20.9 per thousand compared with 28.9 per thousand for Catholics; 28.5 for Greek Catholics, and 22.1 per thousand for Protestants.
The largest number of deaths occurred among the Protestants—14.5 per thousand. The Jews had the lowest mortality, only 9.5 per thousand. The death rate among the Catholics was 14.2 and among the Greek Catholics 13.2 per thousand.
The natural increase was largest among the Catholics, amounting to 14.6 per thousand. The Greek Catholics come next with 13.3 per thousand. The Jews are third with 11.3 per thousand, and the Protestants last with 7.6 per thousand.
