Joseph Pilsudsky, formerly leader of the Polish Socialist Party (P. S. P.) and the first Chief of State of the resurrected Polish Republic, had an opportunity of proclaiming himself King of Poland in 1918 when he stood before the Polish Constitution Assembly, according to the paper, “Pro Patria”, the organ of the Polish monarchists.
The paper, after making an historical survey of the dynasties formed in the last few centuries, reaches the conclusion that it would not be an anachronism were Pilsudsky to proclaim himself king of Poland and renew the Polish Monarchistic tradition.
The only ones who are responsible for the non-occurrence of this possibility are the Jews.
Pilsudsky could have done it, but he hesitated and it was due to the influence of his Jewish friends, who advised against it, that he went “along the wrong way, missing the propitious moment-ad ## Judac.”
