Jewish, Catholic and Protestant leaders joined together in a national group to stress spiritual aspects of anti-Communism, it was announced here today. The group, to be known as “Foundation for Religious Action in the Social and Civil Order, ” will be inaugurated at a national conference in Washington in November.
Members of the national advisory council of the Foundation include Judge Joseph M. Froskauer, honorary president of the American Jewish Committee; Rabbi Norman Gerstenfeld, of Washington; Rabbi Edgar F. Magnin, of Los Angeles. A founder of this new movement is Dr. Edward L. R. Elson, pastor of the National Presbyterian Church in Washington, who is known as “President Eisenhower’s Pastor.”
