Jews Congratulate Pilsudski on Birthday

Col. Mieses, a Jewish chaplain in the Polish army, was received yesterday by Josef Pilsudski, with representatives of other faiths who called on him to extend greetings on the occasion of his birthday.

On this occasion religious services were held yesterday in the synagogue on Tlomackie where civil and military leaders were present.

Michael Obolensky, a Russian prince, was sentenced to serve ten days in the workhouse when he was arraigned before Magistrate Tolleris in Essex Market Court charged with disorderly conduct. He was arrested Thursday while addressing a crowd of 200 at Thirteenth Street and Avenue A. New York, when he declared “all the Jews should be killed.”

Magistrate Tolleris said he did not impose a longer sentence because of the plea of the Prince’s wife, the former Katherine Trask, with whose parents the defendant said he is now living at East Orange, N. J.

Rabbi Rarnett R. Brickner. of the Euclid Avenue Temple, Cleveland. O., has accepted the invitation of the Cleveland Joint Board of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, and the employers, to serve as impartial arbitrator.

Rabbi Brickner was formerly the head of the United Jewish Social Agencies of Cincinnati, and the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies in Toronto, Can., and has from time to time acted as arbitrator in industrial disputes in the United States and Canada.

Louis Bamberger and Felix Fuld, prominent merchants and philanthropists, are included among a group of five representative citizens of Newark, N. J., who have purchased a 1,735-acre camp site at Warren County, N. J., overlooking the Delaware Water Gap, for the Boy Scout organization.
