At Setiff a grenade was thrown into the Bagatelle cafe, wounding a number of persons including Joseph Atlanti, a disabled veteran of the first World War. A plastic bomb was also thrown recently into an apartment in the Bab el-Oued quarter of Algiers wounding a Jewish property owner, Prosper Atlan.
An Algiers Jewish merchant was also shot and died of his wounds. And late last week, a grenade was thrown into a cafe in the Bab ol-Oued quarter injuring two Jews.
