A delegation representing the DAIA, central representative body of Argentine Jewry, accompanied by representatives of the Hungarian Jewish Society, called on the Hungarian Minister Lenard Szeri today to protest against eviction of Hungarian Jews from their homes and their deportation to undisclosed destinations.
The delegation told the Hungarian envoy that the Argentine Jewish community was highly indignant over the measures being taken against the Jews in Hungary and expressed the hope that the Hungarian Government would reconsider its policy, particularly in view of the suffering of the Jews in Hungary under the Nazi regime. The envoy promised to transmit a memorandum to Budapest.
