The Jewish Council to Combat Fascism and Anti-Semitism has opened a campaign in Sydney and Melbourne asking the residents of these two major cities to oppose the admission of German immigrants. The Council, which plans to hold a number of mass meetings around program, hopes to obtain an impressively large list of names of people opposing the government’s immigration program for Volksdeutsche and then present it to the Federal Government.

In New South Wales the Jewish Board of Deputies has established a special committee to aid and encourage Jewish immigration from Britain. The National Council of Jewish Women of the Commonwealth has expressed a desire to participate in the campaign.
