Asserting that the Yellow Mogen David is not worn in a sufficiently conspicuous manner by the Jews in the Reich, Nazi authorities contemplate ordering the Jews to also were a yellow star on their backs, it is reported today in the Social Democratic, a leading Swedish newspaper.
The new measure is recommended by the extremists in the Nazi party under the pretext that many Jews try to hide the yellow Mogen David by holding a parcel in front of it. At the same time it is reported here today that a number of half-Jews who served in the German army as officers before Hitler came to power were exempted from wearing the yellow star. The exemption was granted by State Council Von Ratb, the father of the official in the German embassy in Paris who was assassinated by Hershel Grynszpan. Councillor Von Rath is in charge of the department which decides on exemptions from wearing the yellow badge.
