Plans for combating anti-Semitism in Hungary formed the major topic of discussion at a conference of the Jewish National Committee which concluded today at Szeged.
Speakers pointed out that pro-Nazi elements in the country are continuing to incite sections of the Hungarian population against Jews and to spread anti-Semitic propaganda.
The conference adopted a resolution appealing to all political parties in the country, as well as to the Hungarian Government, to take all measures possible to counteract the anti-Semitic activities of the pro-Nazi groups. “Today the Nazis agitate against the Jews and tomorrow they will agitate against democracy,” the resolution points out.
