With appropriate rites ranging from special services in the various synagogues to a large, mass rally in the Jewish Sports Center here, the Jewish community of Mexico commemorated this weekend the fate of the 6,000,000 Jews who had perished during the Nazi holocaust.
Special services were held at the Nidche Israel Synagogue under the auspices of the Ashkenazic community, and at the Rabbi Yehuda Halevy Syhagogue under the auspices of the Sephardic community. The entire community participated in the commemorative services at the Sports Center. A separate memorial was also conducted by the Jewish Bund here, Every Jewish school held commemorative assemblies.
