Jews in Mexico Hold High Positions

The number of high posts held by Jews in all branches is surprising in comparison with the total number of Jews in the capital city. One of the labor leaders, Roberto Haberman, is a Roumanian Jew; the doctor of psychology who has been establishing a new system of mental testing in the government prisons is a Russian Jew, David Boder; the man who taught half of Mexico, recently dead, Francisco Rivas, was a Mexican Jew. There are Jewish musicians, Jewish actors, Jewish journalists, detectives, manufacturers, farmers, promoters, bankers.

That, although the immigration is a recent thing, it is a thorough one, is proved by a slightly more than superficial survey of the present status of the foreigners in Mexico. That it is not a commercial one can not be doubted in view of the fact that the overwhelming majority of the immigrant Jews are trained industrially or professionally.
