Jewish communities in various North African countries are gradually adjusting themselves to new political conditions, the Board of Deputies of British Jews reported here yesterday.

The Board also reported that assistance is now being provided to 1,000 Hungarian and 1,000 Egyptian Jewish refugees in Britain. The report said that an appeal to British Jewry for 200,000 pounds to help the 2,000 refugees was making “slow progress.”
