Folkstimme, the Yiddish daily published in Warsaw, has printed an appeal to Jewish organizations throughout the world to urge the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization to publish the works of Sholem Aleichem. Publication of the Yiddish writer’s works in all countries and languages will give the non-Jewish world “insight into Jewish culture and the past,” the newspaper said.
