Under the headline, “At Meetings They Sing the International, After Meetings They Poison the Life of the Jewish Red Army Soldiers,” the “Krasnaya Zwezda” reports a number of persecutions against Jewish soldiers in some battalions of the Red Army.
The paper cites the case of the soldier Shpoliansky who, as a result of six months of continuous anti-Semitic persecutions, suffered a nervous breakdown. When Shpoliansky complained to the Communist party he was excluded from the party, the paper states.
