A report reaching here today from Geneva states that no food whatsoever will be made available to Jews in Vienna for the forthcoming two weeks, in accordance with an order issued by the local authorities there deliberately depriving Jews of the right to secure food for at least a fortnight.
The order cancels all Jewish food cards and provides that no new cards will be issued for the next two weeks. The Jewish soup kitchens in Vienna will similarly be affected, and will not be able to supply food to the thousands who are being fed daily by the Jewish community. The Jews of Vienna face total starvation as a result of the merciless order, the Geneva report warns.
