The Republican and Democratic municipal elections to take place this fall, will decide the fate of a number of Jewish candidates who have been nominated on the Democratic ticket.
Aaron Steuer, the son of Max D. Steuer, is nominated for Justice of the City Court. The incumbent, Julius Miller, is redesignated for Borough President of Manhattan. The present appointee, Judge Harry Stackell, has been nominated for County Judge of the Bronx.
In Brooklyn, Aaron Jacoby, Superintendent of the Brooklyn Orphan Asylum and well-known Jewish social worker, has been nominated for Sheriff of Kings County. Louis Goldstein received the nomination for City Court Justice. For Municipal Court Justices in Brooklyn, Jacob S. Strahl, president of the Judea Life Insurance Company of New York and Palestine has been renominated, and Frank Wasserman and Nathan Sweedler, nominated.
On the Republican ticket, Harry Geist has been nominated for County Judge in the Bronx and Joseph J. Farber for Register.
