The surviving Jews of Bialystok are this week commemorating the fourth anniversary of the uprising in the Bialystok ghetto. Memorial (##)etings are being hold in Warsaw, Lodz, Silesia and other places where Jews from (##)lystok now reside.
At the close of the week a monument will be unveiled in Bialystok honoring (##)e memory of the 260,000 Jews who perished in and around the city at the hands of (##)e Nazis. The unveiling will be attended by several hundred ghetto survivors.
