The British Government was asked to conclude a security treaty with Israel similar to pacts she has with various Arab states in a resolution adopted by the Board of Deputies of British Jews. The resolution urges:
1. All governments cease supplying arms to Arab states which remain at war wit Israel and refuse to reach a peace settlement with the Jewish State; 2. The British Government, together with the American and French Governments, act in accordance with the Tripartite Declaration of 1950 and maintain arrangements to assure Israel equal armaments with those of its Arab neighbors, and 3. The British Government conclude a bilateral pact with Israel.
