Jews to Aid Smith in Ridding New York City of Slums

In an effort to wipe out the slums in New York City, a group of prominent citizens and welfare workers, among whom there are many Jews, have organized the Housing Association of America, of which former Governor Alfred E. Smith is president.

On the Board of Directors are included Leutenant-Governor Herbert H. Lehman, Aaron Rabinowitz, member New York State Board of Housing. Roger W. Straus, Leo Wolman, Mrs. Julius C. Bernheim, Dr. S. S. Goldwater, Stanley M. Isaacs, Mrs. Henry Moskowitz, Dr. Felix Adler, Dr. Solomon Lowenstein, Robert E. Simon and Lillian D. Wald.
