A breakdown of Jewish world position as a result of general collapse of liberalism was predicted by Maurice Samuel in the address he delivered at the Borough Park Jewry’s mass meeting, held under the auspices of the American Palestine Campaign in Temple Emanuel, Forty-ninth street and Fourteenth avenue.
“The German variety of anti-liberalism is more dangerous than any other because it is linked up with an outburst of racial egomania,” the speaker declared. Others who addressed the rally were Abraham Goldberg, Morris Margulies, Rabbi Moses J. Abels of Temple Emanuel, Dr. Chaim. Weinberg who presided, and Rabbi Z. H. Makarsky. Cantor Benjamin Levitt led in the singing.
