Jewish students, men and women, carried off more than their share of honors at the semi-annual commencement exercises at the University of California.
Rhea Blue of San Francisco won the distinction of being the first woman to receive the Mills Fellowship in International Relations. Israel Burzstein won the Rosenberg scholarship in agriculture, Irving Isenberg was awarded the fellowship in forestry, Harry Borson received the scholarship in medicine, and Abraham Gans received the Sutton Fellowship in Philosophy.
The honor being elected to the Order of the Coin, ancient and honored institution among lawyers of this country and England, went to Maurice Harband, Morris Lowenthal, Cecil Mosbacher and Juliet Blumenfeld. Among other winning undergraduate scholarship were Sam Waintrob, Thelma Kahn, Bessie Abend, Samuel Ruben, Sylvain Bernstein, Jacob Schechtman, Abraham Chartock, Roy Cohn, Doris Eizinger, and Frederick Weiss.
