Instructions to continue sending new Jewish settlers from the small towns into the agricultural colonies with the promise that those who agree to migrate will be given a part of the harvest crop from the fields prepared and sown by the Comzet and the Agro-Joint have been issued to the Ukrainian and White Russian branches of the Comzet by the Russian Comzet, the government department for settling the Jews on the land.
In order to increase the income of those already in the colonies the Comzet also decided to establish this Autumn a number of factories for weaving rugs and textiles and for making gloves and socks. These factories, which will be opened in the Yankoy and Yevpatoria regions, will give employment to Jewish women during the long Winter months when there is no field work.
