Palestine Jews have decided not to send a delegation to Amman, where representatives of the Arab countries have been conferring with King Hussein of Hedjas with regard to the proposed Pan-Arabic Confederation and the Anglo-Arab treaty. This decision has been arrived at despite the sensational statement made by King Hussein yesterday, when he said, “We work for the absolute independence of the Arab countries. Without it there will be no treaty.” There still exists a possibility that the decision not to send a delegation to Amman may be altered within the next dfew days, in consequence of the conversations had by Sir Herbert Samuel, British High Commissioner of Palestine, when he was in Amman.
