Jews wishing to emigrate from Bulgaria must henceforth obtain a special permit from the Ministry of Finance, which will be issued only after an examination of the applicant’s finances has been completed and it is determined whether he has paid all taxes, according to a report from Sofia by the Nazi Transocean news service appearing in the local press.
Previously it was reported that the Bulgarian Government has issued instructions to all local authorities that no difficulties are to be placed in the way of Jews desiring to leave the country.
