Approximately $9,500,000 was received by the Jewish national Fund from October, 1945, through July, 1946, it was announced here today. This represents an increase of about 33 percent over the preceding period when approximately $7,000,000 was collected.
The largest remittance came from the United States and totaled more than $6,000,000. Palestine, South Africa and Britain followed in that order. For the first time in many years, small remittances were received from a number of liberated European countries.
