A highlight of the Jewish National Fund assembly which convenes Sunday will be the induction at the luncheon on Monday of Abram Salomon as the new national executive vice-president of the JNF, succeeding Dr. Milton Aron, who is departing for Israel on aliyah. The guest speaker at this luncheon will be Yosef Tekoah, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations. Salomon was unanimously designated as administrative head of the JNF at a meeting this week of the JNF Board of Directors. He had been serving as acting executive vice-president for the past five months. Salomon was born in Poland and was graduated from the University of Warsaw with the degree of Master of Laws in 1936, and as a life-time Zionist, he travelled throughout the world representing various Jewish groups.
