The Jewish National Fund dedicated a 2000-tree forest in memory of Fritz Kuiper, a member of the Dutch anti-Nazi underground, who helped save the lives of many Jews. The dedication ceremony of the forest–located in Ben Shemen, near Lod–was attended by R.J. Mulder, of the Dutch Embassy, Dutch friends and representatives of the Dutch Immigrants Association. Kuiper was active during World War II in actions to save Dutch Jewry, an action in which many of his relatives took part. Two of his nephews were executed by the Nazis. He published a periodical “All of Israel.” and a popular book “Israel and the Gentiles,” after the end of World War II.
