A 50-member national leadership mission of the Jewish National Fund of America left for Israel over the week-end for a series of briefings with JNF and Israeli Government leaders and to inspect JNF land reclamation and forestation sites. The group will mark July 4 at the Jeff’s John F. Kennedy memorial outside of Jerusalem.
The Nassau-Suffolk County, N.Y. Council of the JNF announced that it will establish a new community area in Israel to be known as Nachlat Nassau-Suffolk in honor of the Long Island communities, It will be located in northern Israel near the Lebanese border and will be populated by newly arrived immigrants.
