A message congratulating Maurice Levin, president of Hearn’s Department Store, for his plan to give to the Jewish National Fund a percentage of all the income which the store derives from the sale of Palestine wines was received yesterday by Mr. Levin from the Jewish National Fund headquarters in Palestine.
“We congratulate the initiative of you and Hearn’s Department Store in calling a conference to open the campaign for Carmel Palestine wines. We believe this is a great idea for the development of Palestine’s viticulture. The great cellars of Baron Rothschild’s colonies in Palestine address you with warm thanks. Best wishes for the Hearn store and success to the movement in marketing these wines in the United States,” the message reads.
