John Bolton called on Syrian authorities to arrest Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal. The U.S. envoy to the United Nations issued the call last week. Meshaal, based in Damascus, is believed to have ordered the June 25 attack in which Palestinian gunmen killed two Israeli soldiers and kidnapped another. Bolton dismissed comparisons between the kidnapping and Israel’s response.
