Joint Palestine-relief Campaign in Kansas City Will Be Inaugurated

A joint campaign of the United Palestine Appeal and the United Jewish Campaign will be conducted here.

The sum of $200,000 representing the Kansas City quota of the $15,000,000 United Jewish Campaign and the $5,000,000 United Palestine Appeal will be sought here. Both drives will be under one organization, headed by Sol. Berkson as general chairman, and consisting of representatives of both appeals.

Decision to unite in a joint drive was reached at a meeting held following negotiations between the representatives of the two appeals.

The Executive Board is now constituted of the following: Messrs. Sol. Berkson, general chairman; B. M. Achtenberg, B. Adler, H. A. Auerbach, David Benjamin, Gus Bernheimer, Rabbi Herman M. Cohen, M. Feingold, M. L. Friedman, secretary; George L. Goldman, J. A. Harzfeld, Isaac Katz, Ed S. Michelson, vice-chairman, Walter H. Negbaur, Louis Oppenstein, Nathan Rieger, treasurer; A. Rothenberg, L. P. Rothschild, George Sittenfeld, vice-chairman; J. Viner, A. C. Wurmser, vice-chairman; and Miss Jennie Gottlieb, financial secretary.

The date set for the opening of the joint campaign is April 20.
