Israeli passenger trains traveling between Haifa and Jerusalem were attacked last night by infiltrees from Jordan territory, an Israeli military spokesman announced here tonight. He said that the attack occurred in the vicinity of Tulkarm, on the edge of the Jordan-held “triangle” area of Central Palestine. There were no casualties.
The military spokesman also revealed that the calm which has prevailed recently along the Jordan border has been broken in a number of places in the past few days. He reported attacks on a bus and against a military outpost in the Judean hills.
