Jordanian troops opened fire on an Israel military patrol inside Israel territory near Massada yesterday, it was announced here today. The patrol returned the fire. There were no casualties on the Israel side.
Last night the United Nations Mixed Armistice Commission censured Egypt for firing on Israel civilians and UN observers in the demilitarized zone near Auja. The commission found Egypt guilty of “flagrant violation” of the armistice agreement after a nine-hour meeting.
