A Jewish watchman at the village of Kissalon near here, was murdered this week-end by Arab infiltrees from Jordan, Israeli authorities announced.
The watchman, Moshe Elon, 50, was killed when a tommygun burst, fired from a short distance away, hit him. The marauders stole his rifle but took nothing else. These circumstances, including the use of tommyguns, were similar to those of the Negev bus massacre, Israeli authorities noted.
A second incident was reported from the Samaria district, where an Israel patrol was brought under automatic fire by Jordanians. Official sources coupled the two incidents and stressed that the United Nations truce supervisory machinery was becoming less efficient.
A third incident occurred in the Gaza strip where a strong Egyptian military unit, encountering a numerically inferior Israeli patrol, attacked it, wounding one soldier and kidnapping a second. The Israeli authorities immediately protested the incident to the Israel-Egyptian Mixed Armistice Commission and demanded the return of the abducted soldier. The incident occurred near the American settlement of Kisufim.
