Joseph H. Cohen, a retired industrialist and prominent Jewish communal leader, died here yesterday at the age of 73. Born in New York City. Mr. Cohen served as treasurer of the National Jewish Welfare Board from 1946 until last year when he was named honorary treasurer. He was a founder in 1946 and former treasurer of the World Federation of Young Men’s Hebrew Associations and Jewish Community Centers. He was also active in the work of the United Jewish Appeal and the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York.
