The services of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency were lauded here today at the annual meeting of the Journalists Association attended by representatives of central Jewish institutions and by H.C. Holmes, the press officer of the Palestine Government.
Joseph Frank, an American journalist who is now with the American Field Service in the Middle East, addressing the gathering on problems of American journalism in war-time, spoke warmly of the role which the Jewish Telegraphic Agency plays in America as the channel through which Jewish news reaches the general press. He spoke to the Palestine journalists on the American censorship system and on the activities of the American Newspaper Guild. Mayor Rokach greeted the meeting in behalf of the Tel Aviv municipality.
