The celebration this year of the two-hundredth anniversary of the birth of Moses Mendelsohnn and Gotthold Ephraim Lessing was observed at the meeting of The Judaeans Sunday night at the Hotel Astor. Professor Stephen P. Duggan, director of the Institute of International Education, read a paper on the life of the Jewish philosopher, Professor Ernst Hiess of Hunter College spoke on Lessing.
Tribute to the late Louis Marshall was paid by Samson Lachman, president of The Judaeans, in opening the meeting at which he presided.
