Associate Justice Brandeis of the United States Supreme Court is widely favored among the third party promoters for the Vice Presidential nomination should Senator Lafollette of Wisconsin accept a third party nomination for the Presidency. Inasmuch as Senator LaFollette has declared that if the Republic Convention in Cleveland should make a “reactionary” nomination he would be willing to head an independent ticket, the prospects for a third party are to be considered seriously.
