One hundred and fifty delegates to the annual convention of Grand Lodge No. 1 of the I.O.B.B. attended the sessions held Sunday at the Hotel Astor. David Ruslander, retiring president, opened the convention with an address of welcome to the delegates who represent lodges in this state, New England and Canada.
A dinner was held Sunday evening at which Rabbi Nathan Krass, and United States Attorney Tuttle were the principal speakers. Judge Myron Sulzberger presided. Dr. Krass, outlining the work of the organization, emphasized the need of supporting youth movements in the perpetuation of Jewish traditions. Mr. Tuttle praised the organization for its efforts against intolerance and discrimination.
Justice Albert Cohen was elected president; Louis M. Singer, Toronto, vice-president; Benjamin Shoolman, Boston, vice-president; William Asher, treasurer, and Lawrence White, secretary.
