A $20,000 contribution to the $6,000,000 Allied Jewish Campaign has been made by Judge and Mrs. Josiah Cohen of Pittsburgh. Judge Cohen presides in the Allegheny Country Court of Common Pleas and is the oldest jurist in Allegheny County.
A telegram which the jurist and his wife sent to the New York headquarters of the campaign was made public here and reads:
“The inauguration of the Allied Jewish Campaign in which all the strength of American Jewish manhood and womanhood are for the first time joined in a common bond for the aid of suffering Jews overseas wherever there is need for help, is a notable and historical event in Israel. In recognition of the urgent need abroad, of the value of united effort, and in memory of our loved ones, Aaron Nauberg and his wife, Nellie Goldsmith, we hereby subscribe $20,000 to this inspiring cause.”
