It was announced today in the official Palestine Gazette that Mustafa Bey Khaledi, a judge of the Supreme Court, has been nominated by the Government as mayor of Jerusalem, succeeding Hussein Khalidi, a relative of his, who was exited from Palestine last October and whose duties were carried on by Deputy Mayor Daniel Auster. Dr. Hassan Abu Saud was nominated to fill the second vacant city councillorship.
