A plaque honoring Judge Joseph M. Proskauer president of the YM-YWHA of this city from 1926-31, was unveiled last night at the Lexington Avenue Y building whose erection Judge Proskauer helped plan and build.
In unveiling the bust of Judge Proskauer, Frank L. Weil, another former president, said: “Every brick, every stone, every wall, every room of this building is a monument to Judge Proskauer, far more than this plaque which we are unveiling tonight can be. He conceived this building. He was largely responsible for raising the funds for it; he gave it life and leadership.”
