Judge Richard Goldstone, an internationally renowned Jewish jurist, is among three South African judges appointed by President Nelson Mandela to probe an alleged high-level plot to overthrow the country’s government. Mandela’s former wife, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, and senior defense officers were part of the plot, according to a military intelligence report given to the president.
