Judge Morris Rothenberg, president of the Jewish National Fund of America, was today presented with a deed certifying that a tract of J.N.F. land in Palestine has been named “Nachlatch Rothenberg” in tribute to his activities for the J.N.F. in the United States.
The ceremony took place at the closing session of the world conference of the J.N.F. presided over by Dr. Abraham Granovsky of Jerusalem, head of the World J.N.F. Granovsky pointed out that under Rothenberg’s leadership the J.N.F. of America has raised $26,000,000 for Palestine land purchases during the past four years.
The ceremony was preceded by the adoption of a declaration in which the conference called upon the Jewish communities throughout the world to increase their support for the land acquisition program. Judge Rothenberg pledged the support of American Zionists in raising the current J.N.F. budget of $37,000,000.
