Honor was paid to Judge Charles C. Simons of the United States Circuit Court of Appeals, sitting at Cincinnati, by the Detroit Bar Association, at a dinner at the Book Cadillac Hotel.
Joined by many leaders in the community, about 400 attorneys came to the dinner to pay their respects to Judge Simons on the occasion of his elevation from the District Court to the Court of Appeals.
At this dinner, the Bar Association presented a life-size portrait of Judge Simons, painted by Isaac Rader, a Detroit artist, to the District Court here, to be hung in the new building now being completed.
